JJ – you are missed . . .

Based on a Sudoku grid, this quilt was made with 9 squares each from 9 different shirts.  Work, dress, polo and t-shirts were all used with the lighter weight or stretchy fabrics stabilized so that all the squares were of a similar weight.  As in a Sudoku puzzle, each column, row and 3×3 section include just one of each fabric.  The borders, corner squares and binding were pieced from pajama pants.

jimlabelMay the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be ever at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rain fall softly on your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.
